DAGGETT’s Boys’ TEAM
The boys’ team at Daggett’s is not only one of the top programs in
The 2007 coaches are 1984 Olympic
Gold Medalist, Tim Daggett, UMASS alumni, Lorenzo Macaluso
and Pat McFarlin, and former Daggett, three-time Jr.
National Team member, Steve Gaudette.

The 2007 Level 9 team consisted of seven of the
top gymnasts in the state ages 12-13: Josh Ungar from
Longmeadow, Jonathan Deaton also from Longmeadow, Carter Levreault
from South Hadley, Tyler Curran of Westfield, Paul Wood from Hardwick, Danny DiBenedetto from Vernon, CT and Sam Hayashida
from Suffield, CT. In addition to
numerous state meet wins including first place team at the Yellow Jackets
Holiday Invitational and the 2007 Tim Daggett National Invitational, this
talented team captured third place for the Junior Team Cup competition at the Parkette’s Brian Babcock Invitational in Allentown, PA on
January 19, 2007, first place at the MA State Championships and New England Regionals and sixth in the nation at the Junior Olympic
Nationals on May 12, 2007 in Oklahoma.
The gymnasts have earned many individual titles as well. Paul Wood is the current Level 9 State and
Regional Champion, Josh Ungar, Jony
Deaton and Carter Levreault all made all-around
finals at J.O. Nationals with high event placements as well. They are featured
in August’s USA Gymnastics magazine!
Josh also won Bronze on high bar at event finals and placed 17th
all-around. For this accomplishment, he
was invited to attend a training camp at the

Levels 6 & 7 gymnasts had their
share of the spotlight as well. At the
Yellow Jackets Holiday Invitational, Jesse Coull of
All the Level 6s qualified to
States and Regionals also. The youngest member, Peter Daggett, won
parallel bars at States placing second all-around. He will compete with Kameron Tang as a Level 7 this season. All Level 5s qualified to States with Ben
Provost advancing to Regionals where he scored a 9.8 on
vault! He will advance to Level 6 this competition year. Be sure to visit the site’s “News” and “Meet

everyone on an awesome season! We
welcome our new Level 5s and wish them the best: Evan Alves, Eric
Mau, Jeremy Slinsky, and Tim Vindigini
along with returning Level 5s: Anthony Belyy, Nathan
Florence, Teaanou Gonzalez, Brandon Klein, Colin
Radon and Benjamin Provost. J.D. and
Trevor Allsup have moved and we wish them the best!
